Todd, I think it was, Mike Iaconelli has a pretty cool rod storage setup. I wanna say I saw it on the Bassmaster site a few years ago in their tours of how elite pros setup their shop. It's worth looking into, to me it seemed to be the best means of storing a ton of rods in the most efficient way. To me efficiency, in every aspect of every little thing, seems to be the most important piece. Edit: Are any of your old Bubba rods gonna be for sale?

Todd thank you for putting this Podcast up and being such a great example of following Gods purpose for you! You always have such a positive outlook. Ronnie does a great job at BASSMASTER Live. He is also another example of how God has worked in his life. You are both very inspiring to me for sure. Again thanks for just being you!!

I've fished for 45... but I've only been bass fishing regularly for 15. I only fish small club tournaments and every once in awhile I'll fish a big marina tourney... so, not even close to semi-professional and I have 16 foot of pegboard. It is pretty much jammed pack. As much as you've got, you can do that whole building and still not have enough pegboard. 😂. Looks great Todd. Love the videos, they help us dreamers to stay informed!!

I hope BASS gets rid of Bass Trak and moves to a real score board that the anglers are aware of.

Slatboards are overrated imo. That white pegboard looks great, it’s easy, and hooks are cheap.

I built rod rack above it from ceiling so they don’t take up wall space

Man take 2x4 rip them down the middle and just have your father in law build plywood shelves put everything in the cheap bins from Lowe’s or Home Depot and label the ends that’s what I did and it’s mega cheap

I built exact thing last year yours is bigger but I had shelves below with a work area about 8 feet long with A left over countertop I had it’s sweet that white peg board is what I recommend in your last video about it works great

You need to put all of your mounts up there so everyone knows that you put fish in the death well! 😂

I knew that you were going pegboard. The pegs for the slat board would be quite costly.

Definitely get an industrial ceiling fan installed if you haven’t already; help to dry wet boat.

If it is financially possible put something below your pegboard with drawers, cabinets.

Try pegboard on a frame on wheels for your most used baits so you can move it closer to your boat when you're preparing for tournaments and seasonal change. Do you have a ceiling fan to go above your boat to dry it out when it is wet?

You still made the sensible decision to me. Even if I had “that kind of money”. You don’t keep money by spending it needlessly. And it doesn’t look bad as it is. If it were me, I would do the underneath part with little box shelving/storage shelving that just sits on the floor and can slide right under the peg board and up against the wall. Either with the individual boxes for different stuff or just open flat shelves to put stuff like your extra loose tackle storage boxes on top.

Man that was a great interview. Ronnie said some stuff that surprised me but in a good way. But yet you’re still will have people set in their ways in how they think “professional fishing” should be.

I recommend closet made adjustable shelves. It’s great stuff . But it has to go into something solid! I don’t know how your building is constructed. I would send you a pic of pegboard/ and Closetmaid . Don’t know how to get it to you .

I've always thought splitting half the schedule with ffs and half without was a good idea. After hearing ronnie on your video that idea has some holes in it too. I don't see any good options at the moment unfortunately.

You will have a great set up when completed. No man cave for me. My BassCat is in my garage (beside my '65 Chevy Impala SS), so no room for tackle. My tackle is downstairs in my home office in bins like yours, so I always have to look to see if I have anything.

I'm not a fan of FFS. Like Todd said, it's not necessarily the FFS itself, but what will it morph into, and then next, and then next. This technology road is the bridge too far in the upper levels of professional fishing (Elite, Opens, BPT, Invitationals). It needs to be banned.

Listen to start to finish, my take is Ronnie believes that BASS can't survive without FFS, he's all in on it, which naturally in his view makes dummies on the other side.....

I used to watch all bass tournaments growing up. One day I seen a mlf tournament and I was hooked ! All fish are weighed and released where they are caught. All of them.. people that saved their whole lives to live in their dream home on the lake wherever, having a personal dock pet that they feed everyday in the golden years of life. Bass tournaments go through and catch them and put them in a live well to take to weigh in never live much less come back to the people who loved the under their personal dock. MLF fishing is the only way bass tournaments will survive in the future. Any other way doesn't make sense to real sportsman. People who just like to fish really don't care, to them stay away from my lake, please .

From what I gather there was a lot of cover talk. Let’s get the actual money numbers going to tourney directors operators and such. Let’s see how much money is being made. Must be enough because all hear is a big spin with a lot of useless information leading to one thing. The sonar makers are paying for tourneys. Wake up anglers. Time for a union.

You can say all you want about FFS being just 1 of many techniques. But at the end of the day you are still throwing at a fish you can (SEE) not at a fish that you think might be there ! Thats huge ! Fishing will never be the same ! It will take awhile, but eventually it will be banned on the state fisheries level !

Todd could you let Ronnie now im not against this young generation pro. Its not there fault they have this tech its the company's and BASS for letting it go this far. If they limit it to one unit its still going to be dominated by it. You must have one without one with. Maybe a two lake classic over 4 days and no cuts everyone fishes all 4 to make it fair. But we are losing are past its insane. So if a company comes out with a bait that when it gets close to a fish it is drawn to it. Well he would say we didn't make it they are just using it. I am a trap shooter it would be like a device you could put on your gun to that when your lead got right it would beep and you would pull the trigger. Its crazy. I guy around here locked a crappie and followed it for 1.5 hours until he finally caught it. 4 plus pounds. He made the mistake of telling what he did to catch it he has been well roasted by all the crappie fishermen. I love fishing and Jesus Christ but like the Good Book says treat people the way you want treated and i think they have kinda craped on the guys who did it one way for 30 years and the love of money is the root of all evil and thats whats driving this so dont sugar coat it. I totally disagree you wouldn’t have made it with livescope. I think a 19 year old Todd now would have a cheap aluminum boat, a used 9” graph with a used lvs 32 you got for $1000, and you’d wear them out. I honestly think it’s cheaper in some ways.

Nothing separates fishermen any more except who happened to drive over the bigger fish. Technique, experience and intuition used to account for 90% of an angler’s success, and used to separate the field. Now it accounts for 10%. We used to be able to learn from watching the pros. No one learns anything watching a dude stare at a screen.
